DESCRIPTION:On September 19\, 2024\, the TwInSolar consortium is pleased to present a workshop on “Smart Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of PV power plants”.                                                                                                                                                              \n\n\n\nEvent details\n\n\n\nRegistration link:      https://forms.gle/3ihfE4rVBqEUrpVs6 \n\n\n\nDate and time:            Thursday\, September 19\, 2024 \n\n\n\n                                    11:30AM – 2:30PM (CET) / 1:30PM – 4:30PM (Reunion) \n\n\n\nLocation:                     Online\, a link will be provided to registered participants \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAbout the workshop\n\n\n\nThe Fraunhofer experts will give an introductory course on operation and maintenance of PV farms.The workshop\, which will last 3 hours\, will take place as follow: \n\n\n\n\nIntroduction to O&M of PV power plants\n\n\n\nPV Performance Monitoring\n\n\n\nKey Performance Indicators\n\n\n\nData-driven O&M \n\n\n\nDigitalization of PV systems operation\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\nDavid Melgar\, Leader of the Data-driven Quality Assurance team\, Fraunhofer ISE  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavid Melgar is an engineer at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg\, specializing in the performance evaluation of photovoltaic (PV) systems. He began his career in the PV industry at ISOFOTÓN\, a manufacturer of PV cells and modules\, where he developed new processes and measurement systems for PV cell and module production. At Fraunhofer ISE\, David has been actively involved in the characterization of PV modules in the laboratory and the analysis of power plants\, including monitoring and field measurements. Since January 2024\, he has been leading the “Data-driven Quality Assurance” team within the “Photovoltaic Power Plants” group at the institute. \n\n\n\n\n\nChristian Schill\, Head of Photovoltaic Power Plants group\, Fraunhofer ISE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChristian Schill has been the group leader of the “Photovoltaic Power Plants” group at Fraunhofer ISE since 2021\, following positions at the Freiburg Materials Research Center (FMF)\, PSE GmbH\, and the University of Freiburg. He is an alumnus of the Sustainability Center Freiburg. He works in the areas of photovoltaic power plant quality\, outdoor exposure of PV modules\, climate data\, and spatial analysis\, with a focus on integrated PV and digitalization in the PV industry.
