SUMMARY:Séminaire européen Twinsolar "Recherche et Innovation pour la transition énergétique"
DESCRIPTION:Le projet européen Twinsolar ambitionne de faire de La Réunion un territoire pionnier en matière de recherche et d’innovation pour l’intégration massive des énergies renouvelables dans les sites non interconnectés – îles et zones périphériques. Pour ce faire\, l’Université de La Réunion et l’agence Nexa se sont associées à deux instituts européens de renommée mondiale en transition énergétique – l’Université technique du Danemark et l’institut de l’énergie solaire de la Fraunhofer en Allemagne – ainsi qu’avec la Conférence des régions périphériques maritimes\, afin de renforcer les capacités de recherche et d’innovation de La Réunion et des territoires isolés pour la transition énergétique. \n\n\n\n\n\nPour cela\, les parties prenantes de domaine de l’énergie se réuniront lors d’un séminaire territorial le Jeudi 25 avril 2024\, de 8h30 à 12h30\, pour : \n\n\n\n\ndécouvrir et discuter de 8 initiatives remarquables favorisant les coopérations de recherche et d’Innovation notamment Université/entreprises\, issues d’un benchmark réalisé auprès des territoires partenaires du projet (Allemagne et Danemark)\n\n\n\ndécouvrir et échanger autour du micro-réseau du campus de Terre-sainte et son potentiel pour des projets d’innovation collaborative \n\n\n\npartager la vision stratégique de la R&D de l’UR et sa déclinaison en potentiels projets\n\n\n\n\nAgenda  \n\n\n\n• 08:30 : Accueil des participants \n\n\n\n• 09:00 : Mot d’introduction & présentation du projet européen TwInSolar \n\n\n\n• 09:15-12:30:  \n\n\n\n• Présentation d’initiatives européennes remarquables pour favoriser la Recherche & l’Innovation pour la transition énergétiques \n\n\n\n• Le micro-réseau du campus de Terre-Sainte : opportunité pour de l’innovation collaborative ? \n\n\n\n• Table ronde “Partage de la vision stratégique de la R&D de l’UR et sa déclinaison en potentiels projets” \n\n\n\n• Conclusions et suites à donner \n\n\n\n• 12:30-13:30 Déjeuner sur le pouce

DESCRIPTION:Registration link: https://forms.gle/DMvCoMUJDretii268 \n\n\n\nWorkshop day 2: Renewable Hybrid Power Plants\n\n\n\nTuesday\, April 9\, 2023\, from 1PM to 5PM (UTC+4h) – corresponding to 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CET \n\n\n\nConnection link will be sent to registered participants \n\n\n\nSpeakers: \n\n\n\nKaushik Das\, Associate Professor with the Department of Wind and Energy Systems\, DTU \n\n\n\nKaushik received a PhD degree from DTU in 2016. His research interests include hybrid power and energy plants\, power system balancing\, and grid integration of renewables in power systems. He is a Member of IEA Wind\, CIGRE\, IEEE\, and other professional bodies. He is also an operating agent for IEA Wind Task 50 on Hybrid Power Plants. He was the recipient of the prestigious AEG Elektronfonden’s Elektron Award in 2022. \n\n\n\nMegha Gupta\, Postdoc\, Department of Wind and Energy Systems\, DTU \n\n\n\nMegha received a PhD degree in “Coordinated operation of TSO and DSO for efficient grid management” from Department of Electrical Engineering\, IIT Delhi\, India in 2022. Her research interests include hybrid power plant sizing and operations with Power-to-X; power system steady state analysis\, optimization and energy markets. She is currently working on the research and development of an open-access tool ‘HyDesign’ at DTU Wind for the design and operation of utility-scale hybrid plants with P2X. \n\n\n\nAbout the workshop \n\n\n\nFocused on the massive integration of variable renewable energies\, such as solar and wind\, in electricity grids\, the second part of the workshop is also based on lectures and exercises. Trainees will learn how to design and model Hybrid Power Plants (HPPs)\, which mix multiple technologies like wind\, solar and energy storages. Applications of massive penetration of variable renewables energies on electricity grids will be tested with HyDesign\, an online tool for design and control of utility scale wind-solar-storage based hybrid power plant (HPP) developed by DTU researchers. The exercises will be done online with collaborative Jupyter Notebooks\, which requires basic knowledge on programming with Python and are accessible to beginners.
